Meet Our Team

If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 immediately for help.

Kawartha Lakes Paramedic Service operates a fleet of 14 ambulances and 3 Emergency Response Units (ERUs), with reporting stations in Lindsay, Fenelon Falls, Pontypool, and Bobcaygeon, and satellite posts in Coboconk and Lindsay West.

Our team of Primary and Advanced Care Paramedics responds 24/7 to nearly 14,000 emergency medical calls each year.  We serve approximately 82,000 residents across more than 3,000 square kilometers, making Kawartha Lakes the largest single-tier municipality in Southern Ontario by land area.  As a major cottage and recreational destination, the region also sees over 1.6 million visitors annually, all within the scope of paramedic coverage.

Despite rising emergency call volumes, paramedic response times in Kawartha Lakes remain consistent.  Since 2020, patient transports are up over 26% with crews navigating lakes and rural roads to reach patients safely.  Calls are triaged using Medical Priority Dispatch System (MPDS), a clinically validated system to ensure timely care.
