We’re excited to bring our Kawartha Swim Programs to you each summer at three local beaches within the City of Kawartha Lakes.

Schedules and Registration

Dates and locations being offered are available to view through our Online Program Registration website beginning on May 1 each year.

Registration for Beach Lessons will happen on the Tuesday after Victoria Day at 9am each year.

• Please register for your selected dates/location online. Once complete, you will be contacted by a member of our Aquatics Team within 3 business days to confirm level and specific class time/s.

Policies

Inclement Weather:
Beach Lessons will run rain or shine and will be cancelled only in the event of lightning. 

Beach Water Testing:
The Haliburton Kawartha Pine Ridge District Health Unit conducts tests weekly at local beaches to test for E.Coli levels in the water. Results are posted weekly on the health unit website. Warnings are also posted at local beaches or available by calling 1-866-888-4577 extension 5006. In the event that a warning has been issued, lessons will be cancelled and lessons will be run at another beach location if available. If an alternate location is not available, classes will be refunded. 

Cancellation Policy:
We reserve the right to cancel programs due to insufficient registration. In these cases a full refund/credit will be issued. Refunds/credits for any other reason are subject to approval and a 15% (minimum $5) administration fee. All requests must be made in writing to the program coordinator via email to: aquatics@kawarthalakes.ca. Refunds under $20 will be issued only as credit on account for future Parks and Recreation Division services.
