Computers and Wi-Fi
Public Computers at the Library
Every Kawartha Lakes Public Library location has public computer stations available during open hours. To use a public computer, you’ll need:
- A Kawartha Lakes Public Library card
- Visitors or those waiting for ID with a Kawartha Lakes address can request guest access.
What’s Available on Our Computers
Public computer stations offer:
- Microsoft Office for word processing
- Microsoft Paint for basic image editing
- Internet and email
- Printing (fees apply)
- The Kawartha Lakes Public Library Digital Library
Need to Print, Copy, or Fax?
You can print, copy and fax at any Kawartha Lakes Public Library location.
Wi-Fi
- Make sure your device is Wi-Fi compatible.
- Select Public Library WiFi from your network list.
- Launch your browser (this may happen automatically).
- Read and accept our Internet Access Policy.
iPads and Laptops
Lindsay Branch:
Has 2 Windows 10 laptops available for public use. You can use these devices in the Reference Department. Great for practicing technology skills, access the Digital Library, or test out Windows 10 before upgrading.

Need help with computers or mobile devices?
Book a 30-minute, one-on-one training session with library staff to learn:

Appointments are required. Some branches offer select dates, while the Lindsay Branch offers sessions Monday to Friday (by appointment only). Contact your local branch to book your session or get tech help over the phone or you can view our events calendar or ask about upcoming group tech classes.
