Road Worker Safety

Our road crews work hard to keep roads safe and well maintained. When working near traffic, they face risks from passing vehicles.

Signs, pylons and barriers mark work areas to help keep crews and road users safe. When approaching a work zone:

  • Pay attention to signs and follow directions.
  • Slow down and be prepared to stop.
  • Give crews plenty of space.
  • Safely pass around work areas when permitted.
