Kids Programs
Our library is full of fun and learning opportunities for kids of all ages. From babies discovering books for the first time to school-aged kids exploring STEM, crafts, and technology, there’s something for everyone.
Please note: Adult caregivers are required to stay in the library while children are attending programs.
Programs for Babies, Toddlers, and Pre-Schoolers
Baby & Me
Ages: (0–12 months)
Introduce your baby to the world of books, songs, and rhymes. Enjoy play, rhymes, bouncing songs, and simple books while meeting other parents and caregivers.
Storytime
Ages: (1–5 years)
Join our library staff for engaging stories, rhymes, songs, and early literacy activities designed for preschoolers and their caregivers. Children will have the chance to socialize and make new friends!
Programs for School-Aged Kids
Ages: (6–13 years)
Homeschool STEM
Dive into hands-on activities, experiments and games, share resources, and ignite a love for science, technology, engineering, and math. Currently only offered at the Bobcaygeon branch.
Krafty Kids
Join us for a fun crafting session where kids can explore different materials and make something unique to take home. Only at select branches.
Lego Mania
Challenge yourself and build a LEGO creation to match the Theme of the Day.

March Break Make It!
A week full of free and exciting programs designed for school-age children to attend over the break. Please see our schedule as the programs at each branch and times vary.
PA Days at the Library
Join us for a PA Day filled with free fun activities, something different at select branches including candy sushi, rock painting, fuse bead bookmarks, and more!
Summer Reading Club
Track your books, take on fun challenges, and celebrate reading all summer long. This program is only available during the summer months. Visit the summer reading club page for more details.
TechFest
A self-led program where kids can dive into hands-on activities with emerging technologies. Participants are encouraged to experiment, troubleshoot, and problem-solve in a fun, engaging environment. Offered at select branches on various days each month.
Tween Subscription Box
Ages: (9–11 years)
Our subscription boxes are specially curated for youth and packed with fun snacks, drinks, crafts, and more! Plus, get custom book recommendations tailored just for you! See upcoming registration dates.
Programs for All Ages
Board Games
Roll the dice, draw a card, or spell out your best word in scrabble! Join us for fun and friendly meetups where you can play old favourites, learn new games, and connect with others. All skill levels are welcome, and there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
Family Fun
Drop-In
Enjoy crafting, board games, puzzles, seasonal activities, and trying out some of our STEAM kits! Offered at select branches at various times.
Hands On Fun
Explore Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math with creative activities you can do at your own pace. Drop in anytime during open hours. Suitable for school aged children, preschoolers welcome to participate with parental supervision.
Make & Take Tuesdays
Join us every Tuesday afternoon for creative crafts and art activities! It’s the perfect after-school drop-in for kids of all ages to relax, have fun, and let their imaginations run wild. No registration required.
Scavenger Hunt
See if you can find all the hidden items. Ask staff for a clue sheet to help you hunt. A different theme of images is hidden at each of our 14 branches and a different hunt takes place each month. This is a great activity to keep children engaged during your library visit.
Weekly Craft
All the supplies and instructions for a craft are set out and ready for you to use! This program takes place at all branches and generally is available during open hours (supplies may be set away during other program times if space is an issue but can be brought out on request).
