Kawartha Lakes – Each June, communities across Ontario celebrate June is Recreation and Parks Month (JRPM). JRPM is recognized by municipalities, community organizations, and schools as a way of promoting the benefits of being active and recognizing the contribution that recreation and parks make to quality of life.
Kawartha Lakes – With the end of school nearing and the anticipation of warmer weather building, it is the perfect time to start planning your youth’s fun-filled and active summer! We are excited to announce the new Summer Fun Pass that provides unlimited access to a variety of drop-in activities over the summer months.
Kawartha Lakes – As Pride month kicks off, Kawartha Lakes is proud to announce the installation of the very first Pride-coloured crosswalk in Fenelon Falls, marking an important step in celebrating inclusivity and diversity across the municipality.

Notice: There will be temporary service disruptions at the Lindsay Recreation Complex, which will restrict elevator access to Pad 1 and the Community Room viewing areas due to private events happening on the following dates and times:

Kawartha Lakes – May 30 is World MS Day, a time when people around the world come together to support those living with multiple sclerosis (MS). This year’s theme is about the importance of getting the right diagnosis early. Many people living with MS face long delays before they get the answers and care they need. Kawartha Lakes is joining the global MS community in calling for faster, more accurate MS diagnoses.
Kawartha Lakes – Spring curbside leaf and yard waste collection returns this June. Residents are asked to please place leaf and yard material in dry paper bags at their curb before 7am on your designated date.
