Kawartha Lakes – The City of Kawartha Lakes Emergency Operations Centre met today to assess ongoing storm recovery efforts and provide plans for support services for residents over the weekend.
Take Notice that, pursuant to By-law 2018-020, as amended, the Council of The Corporation of the City of Kawartha Lakes will hear a proposal to declare a portion of road allowance adjacent to 357 Alvar Road and legally described as Road Allowance between Concession 6 and Concession 7 Carden North of Road Allowance between Lot 20 and Lot 21, Concession 6; Kawartha Lakes, being all of PIN: 63272-0152 (LT), surplus to its needs at its Committee of the Whole meeting to be held on May 6th, 2025 commencing at 1:00 p.m., followed by its Regular Council Meeting to be held on May 20th, 2025 commencing at 1:00 p.m. Both meetings will be held in the Council Chambers, City Hall, 26 Francis Street, Lindsay, Ontario. Should the proposal be approved, City Council will proceed to pass a by-law to stop up and close that part of the road allowance and authorize the sale of the land to the adjacent property owner.

Kawartha Lakes – The City of Kawartha Lakes Emergency Operations Centre met today to assess ongoing storm recovery efforts.
The purpose of the consent applications is to facilitate the severance of the property to create two (2) new residential lots, each to contain a future single detached dwelling. From west to east, the proposed lots are referred to as Lot 1 and Lot 2. The retained lot is to be the eastern most lot.
A Minor Variance application (D20-2025-032) has been submitted and is being processed concurrently with the Consent applications.
This Public Meeting will be held virtually with electronic public participation.
